DishwasherIn 1949, KitchenAide® introduces the first home electric dishwasher.  At that time, women all across America wanted their husbands to buy them one; unfortunately, it turned out to be their Anniversary present!


Corning makes Pyrex® flameware percolators and saucepans in 1938, many of these originals are still used today.


In 1939, Nestle makes the first Chocolate morsel.  Kids across America celebrated with Chocolate Chip Cookies from theirChocchip.WMF (7760 bytes) Mom's own kitchen.

In the 1950's, chickens begin to be sold as chicken parts, along with whole chickens, but accounted for only about 5% of total chicken sales.
