In 1955, General Foods decided to introduce an instant orange
juice to go with its instant (Maxwell House) coffee. After only 10 weeks on the
market, Tang became embraced by the American public due to every child wanting to drink
what the astronauts drank in outer space.
Harry S. Truman's two favorite
dishes were: Meat Loaf with Tomato Sauce and Tuna-Noodle Casserole
In 1949, McDonald's installs drive-through service
in its' San Bernanardino, California, hamburger stand and eliminates carhops.
The sushi bar comes to America in New York City in 1957.
