Bran muffins are as healthy as they are tasty.  Not only will the house smell wonderful, these muffins will warm you on even the coldest of mornings.  Enjoy!

Your Host,  Brad

1 egg, slightly beaten
1 cup milk
2 Tbl butter, melted
1 cup bran
1 cup flour
1 Tbl baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt

Preheat the oven to 375°F.  Butter muffin pans or use liners.

Put the egg, milk, butter, and bran in a large mixing bowl and let stand for 10 to 15 minutes to break down the bran.  Add the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt and stir just enough to dampen.  Spoon into the muffin pans to fill about 2/3 way.   Bake for about 20 minutes.
