Sandy's Stuffed Celery

Submitted by: Sandy Montag

Ingredients

1 head Celery
8 ounces Cream cheese (softened)
1 bottle of Old English cheese
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup sweet onion, very finely chopped
1 Tablespoon Bottled Sweet Roasted Pepper (very finely chopped)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup Pecans, finely chopped

Directions

Wash and clean celery well. Cut off the widest, whitish end of each stalk and then cut each stalk into 3-inch pieces. Slice the rounded portion off the bottom so it will lay flat on the serving platter. Allow to dry. Lightly whip the cream cheese with the Old English cheese (5 seconds in Microwave will make it more manageable). Mix in Worcestershire sauce, onions, roasted pepper, garlic powder and pecans.

Mix well. Fill the celery with the mixture. Chill well before serving.

Note: This also makes a delicious spread for crackers.
